On May 22–23, the Huawei Kunpeng & Ascend Developer Conference 2026 (KADC2026) was held at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center in Beijing. Themed "Love Drives Brilliance," the conference brought together developers to share computing industry trends, cutting-edge technologies, and real-world case studies. Aether, a general-purpose research AI agent, was invited to exhibit and delivered a technical talk at the forum.

Aether is developed by Professor Ma Yanqing's team at the School of Physics, Peking University, based on the OpenCode framework. Building on coding capabilities, it integrates research workflows into a unified experience, adding intelligent memory mechanisms, skill self-evolution, and mobile collaboration features. It is currently under continuous iterative improvement.

Aether currently has over a thousand registered users and is deployed on the SCOW computing platform, providing unified services for research teams.
